Orlando Pirates have finally signed Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori from Maritzburg United.
Ofori, who has emerged as one of the best goalkeepers in the South African league, has chosen the Soweto giants following interest from all three local powerhouses Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Pirates.
The deal was announce by the club via social media on Tuesday morning, confirming a three-year deal for the Ghanaian national side number one.
“I am very happy to be here. It is a dream for me to be a part of this exciting squad and to work with the technical team,” Ofori told the club’s media. I also look forward to meeting my new teammates and being part of this exciting new project,” he added.
