How the Story was reported;
South African television presenter and actress Minnie Dlamini announced that she and her estranged husband Quinton Jones filed for divorce on 15 February after “changes in motion”, but it seems there is more to the story…
The Homeground presenter topped Twitter’s trending list on Tuesday 10 May after rumours about her cheating on Quinton during their marriage set the app ablaze.
More details are emerging on why Minnie Dlamini and her husband Quinton Jones decided to end their marriage after a few years together.
According to reports, Minnie Dlamini had cheated on Quinton Jones, and he had filed for divorce, ending one of the most loved unions in South Africa.
The genesis of their split reportedly dates from the time Minnie lost her brother, a pilot. She had reportedly gone cold on her husband, who later found out she was cheating on him. Unable to bear it all, he’d filed for divorce.
Interestingly, while Quinton wants a divorce to move on with his life, reports indicate that Minnie is not ready – has refused – to sign the divorce papers, leaving Quinton trapped in some way.
TWEEPS WEIGH IN
Reacting to the rumours, some tweeps questioned if the rumours were true, while others were stunned.
“This is very deep and personal, I’m choking on air,” wrote one tweep.
“If these things Musa posts are true then it’s definitely their close friends sharing these stories with him,” wrote another tweep.
“People will spill hey, people close to these people are giving Musa the tea. No other way,” wrote another tweep.
“Should we expect Unbecoming Mr Jones on our screens?”
Also, Minnie is still wearing her wedding band at the time of writing. All the same, events point at Quinton being done with the marriage and wanting to get out of it.
According to Sunday World, Jones has decided to exit from their joint business venture, Beautiful Day Production, as the divorce proceedings continue.
It is said that Dlamini owns the majority shares, 75%, while Jones owns a 25% stake in the company.
