She maybe new to the TV industry but 23-year-old Luyanda Mzazi is already making a name for herself. Johannesburg based Luyanda is currently an actress in Mzanzi’s popular soapie; Generations – the legacy. Without a doubt, this young star is going to make it big in the industry and in no time, we will be taking acting lessons from her.

1. Luyanda studied Dramatic Arts for 5 years at the National School of the Arts.

2. Luyanda hails from South of Johannesburg, from a family of five and studied drama at the National School of the Arts (NSA). The Legacy was the first TV show she has ever been casted for.

3. The role on Generations: The Legacy is my first television job. In 2015, I went to audition for the role of Lesedi Diale. It was my first television audition, and I was nervous. A week later, I received a call back to audition alongside Siwe Dweba who played Getty on the soapie. A few days before my 21st birthday, I was feeling down because I hadn’t heard from the producers. But, my agent called to tell me that I got the role.

4. five things she can’t live without are Food, Phone, Laptop, Bible and lipstick.
